The Wonder of Trees

There are so many different trees

That wave about when there’s a breeze

Their leaves are of so many greens

The finest sight I have ever seen

Trees of different shapes and size

Some looking old and wise

Ones that reach up to the sky

Smaller ones happy not to vie

Then there is the Willow drooping

Along the river all are grouping.

What about the beautiful Maple

Giving sweet syrup for our table

Some trees with fruit galore

Giving food more and more

And some give flavoursome herbs

While others give shelter for the birds.

Trees give us shade from the sun,

Where we can play and have fun

When finished playing we can rest

And watch the birds in their nest
